Dr. Christine Kempton completed her Medical Degree at Mayo Medical School in 1997. She completed her training in internal medicine at Oregon Health and Science University where she was Chief Resident. Her subspecialty training in Hematology was completed at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Kempton has also obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Research from Emory University.

Dr. Kempton's research interests center on complications of hemophilia and novel treatments of congenital and acquired bleeding disorders. Currently she is funded by the NIH (K23) to study the immune response to factor VIII following surgery in patients with mild and moderate hemophilia A. She also receives funding from CSL Behring Foundation to study bone density and its association with joint disease in patients with hemophilia. Past work supported by CSL Behring Foundation has identified risk factors for inhibitor development in patients with mild and moderate hemophilia A.
