Rebecca B. Klisovic, is a clinical investigator in the Division of Hematology where she specializes in acute leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, myeloproliferative disorders, and the use of bone marrow transplant to treat these diseases. Prior to joining the faculty at Emory, Dr. Klisovic was Associate Professor in the Divison of Medical Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute where she also served as Medical Director of Clinical Informatics.
Dr. Klisovic received her MD from The Ohio State University College of Medicine & Public Health in Columbus, Ohio. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She completed her training with clinical and research fellowships in medical oncology at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio.
She is an active member of several professional societies, including American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, American Society of Hematology and American Society of Clinical Oncology. She also serves on two national leukemia panels.
Dr. Klisovic's research focuses on the development of advanced therapies for myeloproliferative disorder and other blood cancers.
