Ernesta Paola Neri, MD, PhD, is Acting Associate Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Neri will join the faculty in September 2018. Prior to coming to Emory, Dr. Neri was Associate Professor in the Departments of Oncology and Medicine in the Cumming School of Medicine at University of Calgary, Canada.

Dr. Neri completed her Medical Degree in Medicine at Magna Graecia University, Catanzaro, Italy and PhD in Molecular Oncology and Experimental Immunology at Magna Graecia University, Catanzaro, Italy. She also completed her fellowship in Medical Oncology at Magna Graecia University.

Dr. Neri is a member of American Society of Hematology and Myeloma Canda Scientific Board.

Dr. Neri's research focus is in studying druggable therapeutic targets in myeloma, identifying new biomarkers of response to novel agents and analyzing the mechanisms leading to genomic instability in multiple myeloma.


Dr. Neri has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals including Blood, Bone Marrow Transplant and Current Cancer Drug Targets.
